Mark Derriso, PhD, is an accomplished researcher with more than 27 years of experience in technology development in the areas of material/structural characterization, health monitoring systems, automatic controls, and autonomous systems. Dr. Derriso has broad experience in developing, conducting, coordinating, and directing research and development programs for the United States Air Force. He is particularly effective in directing multidisciplinary research projects requiring hardware and software integration. Dr. Derriso currently serves as the Core Technical Competency (CTC) lead and Technical Advisor for the Warfighter Interface Division in the 711th Human Performance Wing at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) where he leads the technical area of decision making for Air, Space, and Cyber domains. Dr. Derriso has an A.A.S. degree in Electronics Engineering Technology from Kentucky State University, a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Wright State University, a M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Dayton and a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology.
